We wanted to update you on the South West Legal Support trust and the Access to Justice Foundation’s set procedures surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak. I am sure you have all kept up to date with the news surrounding the virus and are aware of its escalation.
After careful consideration and following governments advice, we have decided to postpone all of our Spring Legal Walks to Autumn 2020, which includes the Bristol , Cornwall and Exeter Legal Walks.
The safety of our walkers, supporters and volunteers is paramount to us as well as maximising fundraising to financially support the beneficiaries of our event income. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
The new date of the Legal Walks will be announced in due course and we hope that your organisation will continue to support and walk with us come autumn time. The charities supported by the SWLST help to facilitate access to justice for the poorest and most disadvantaged members of society. They provide free legal help to people facing problems such as homelessness, debt, employment, family issues, discrimination and injustice and they really need funds to support their work. Your support is vital to us.
In the meantime, we are keeping a close eye on Government advice around mass events and will keep you updated with any changes.
Thank you for your support and keep safe.
